BENEFIT PACKAGE FY17
All full-time employees who elect Medical/Rx coverage are eligible to participate in the Health Savings Account Benefit Plan (HSA), but are required to complete an application online in order to participate. Each employee may set aside or redirect some pre-tax dollars to pay for a portion of the benefits selected. For new full time employees, coverage for Medical, Life, and Disability Insurance are available the 1st day of the month following successful completion of probationary period (60 days).
The Organization offers a Health Savings Account (HSA) through BB&T Bank which covers major medical and prescription drug coverage. The agency will deposit 25% of the deductible (max $1600 for single or $3200 for family) into a HSA bank account quarterly.
Dental insurance is offered separately. Diagnostic and Preventative (exams, xrays, cleanings, etc.) is paid at 100%. Basic Services (endodontics, repairs, extractions, etc.) is paid at 80%. Major Services (periodontics, crowns, oral surgery, etc.) is paid according to the plan chosen.
Group Term Life Insurance
Offered to all full-time employees. The Organization will pay the premium cost for $20,000 of Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage.
Optional Vision Benefit
$130 allowance for frames and $105 allowance for contact lenses in network. A $10 copay for standard plastic lenses.
Additional coverage is available in increments from $25,000 to $200,000. Coverage for spouse and dependents is also available. See Personnel Office for more details.
The Organization pays the entire premium for short-term disability. The insurance covers 60% of basic weekly earnings up to $1800 for 48 weeks. This insurance is available 30 days after disability begins and includes partial disability.
The Organization pays the entire premium for long-term disability. The insurance covers 60% of earnings up to $8000. monthly. This insurance is available after STD ends. Benefits are to age 65 and/or Social Security Normal Retirement Age whichever is first.
Retirement Contributions 403(b)
Immediately upon employment, all regular employees may contribute into an individual tax deferred annuity plan, 403(b), of their choice utilizing pre-tax dollars. See Personnel Office for more details.
In the past the Organization has paid a percentage of salary into a tax-deferred annuity for staff that has completed at least 1000 hours in the fiscal year and is currently employed. This amount may fluctuate according to budget. Employees become vested after three years employment.
The agency insurance will not cover spouses who are offered health insurance through their own employment. Dental and Vision benefits can be elected separately from our standard Medical/Rx plan. Dental and Vision benefits elected separately cannot take advantage of the HSA bank account because they are not a high deductible plan.

The Organization is open 365 days a year and holidays, vacation time, and personal time have been compressed into the following annual leave time:
20 days up to 3 years of employment
25 days after 3 years of employment
30 days after 10 years of employment
10 days of sick leave per year
