Beacon Place offers a safe harbor and sanctuary for adults experiencing a psychiatric crisis. As a voluntary alternative to hospitalization, Beacon Place provides short term Residential Crisis Services in a community-based setting 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

In addition to Residential Crisis Services, Beacon Place offers crisis counseling.
Beacon Place is appropriate as an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization or to shorten the length of a hospital admission. Anyone who is medically stable, under the care of a physician, and awaiting admission to a psychiatric unit can be safely cared for at Beacon Place.

Situated in a quiet community, Beacon Place’s trained crisis staff offer the comforts of a home-like setting augmented with counseling and therapeutic groups. Beacon Place will assist you with meetings with physicians and therapists to further enhance your recovery. Our private accommodations support clients’ need for calm and confidentiality.

Beacon Place has served the Eastern Shore since 1991. Licensed by the State of Maryland as a Residential Crisis house, Beacon Place has a 80% return to the community rate, a clear indicator of a successful program.
