Shore Employment Services admits persons who are able to benefit from psychiatric vocational rehabilitation services consistent with the program's mission to assist adults with mental illnesses to develop, to attain, and to maintain successful vocational outcomes in progressively integrated environments. The intake process assesses the client's eligibility for supported employment services and informs the member about Shore Employment Services vocational program so that the client, vocational staff, and community supports can make an informed decision as to the relevance of Shore Employment services to the client's needs and desires.
Shore Employment services are designed to be flexible for the client, so that they may access assistance from the vocational staff at any time. This includes periods of employment and unemployment.
Shore Employment Services provides ongoing assessment and planning with client, and when appropriate and with consent, includes family or natural supports. If deemed necessary, vocational training is available through D.O.R.S.
